i made this track a few weeks ago when i was in Spicewood, TX outside Austin, in the cabin i spent early childhood years in on my folks' ranch. i wanted to see if i could create the sound of a whole live band spacing out jamming/improvising together, except playing every instrument myself. i started with charango, making a loop and riffing around it then tracked minimal drums on top of that. i then layered piano, bass, guitars, and vocals. its all pretty sketchy, but i think it does actually sound like a full band (even if that band sounds like they're all on different drugs and can't seem to find their own hands...), but considering it was all just one person and that i recorded everything from either my phone or straight into my laptop's internal microphone i think its fairly convincing....what do you think?
